Painting with Light

This piece was an exercise in balancing elements in a simple composition. The name "Painting with Light" is a reference to my own personal approach to 3D art, using digital lights not as a technical science but as a form of digital painting.

The beach spilling out of the frame references a motif in my personal life, letting nature come out from concept, from theory into our own space. From 3D art as an imagined world inside a computer, to now allowing me to work from nature, on beaches and amongst jungles – foreshadowing a shift from creative isolation into a more embodied life, lived through, and facilitated by, 3D digital art.
